Convento Mater Randa: A Transformative Experience
Discover a haven of peace and tranquillity in our charming holiday home, located in the picturesque village of Randa. This place, imbued with a spiritual and serene air, is perfect for disconnecting from the daily hustle and bustle. The house, a former convent of the Franciscan Sisters from 1890 renovated in 2023, offers a unique and cosy atmosphere for up to 12 people.
The Convento Mater Randa is not just a place to stay; it is a transformative experience that connects history, nature and solidarity. Here, every corner tells a story, and every stay makes a difference, supporting the mission of the Mater Foundation which provides care for people with functional diversity since 1964.
The House & Distribution
Distributed over two floors, the house offers 6 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, TV, wardrobe and hot/cold air conditioning:
Ground Floor: Bedroom 1 (adapted for people with reduced mobility), Bedroom 2 (twin beds), a fully equipped kitchen with dining table, and a living room with a pellet fireplace and reading area.
First Floor: A second TV/work area with fireplace, and Bedrooms 3, 4, 5 and 6. Bedrooms 4 and 5 offer access to a private terrace.
Utility Room: Equipped with a washing machine, dryer, pool towels and ironing facilities.
Exterior & Leisure
The property features a beautiful terrace and a 14x4m swimming pool with unobstructed views of the Serra de Tramuntana. The outdoor area is perfectly equipped for groups with a table and 12 chairs, barbecue, 10 large sun loungers and 4 small sun loungers with parasols. Guests also have access to a vegetable garden tended by the children from the Mater Foundation.
Booking Information
To ensure the best experience, rooms will be opened depending on the number of guests: 1 room for every 2 guests. You can choose which rooms you prefer. The minimum price is for 6 people (3 rooms), and from there, an extra fee is charged per person per night.
Location & History
The dreamy village of Randa, located between Llucmajor and Algaida, is famous for its three monasteries (Santuari de Cura, Sant Honorat and Gràcia). It is a sought-after location for its peace, original stone architecture and proximity to Palma. We recommend coming by car; supermarkets and shops are in Algaida, a 9-minute drive away.

Atmosphere: No parties, events or pets are allowed.
Quiet Hours: No noise from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
